About the study
Stem cell transplants, like bone marrow, can be used to treat cancer. Graft versus Host Disease (GvHD) is a potential complication of these transplants. GvHD occurs when the graft cells reacts against those of the host; the graft is the donated stem cells and the host is the person receiving the transplant. For some, GvHD can be very severe, it may even be life threatening in a few cases. Some people may have GvHD over many months, or even years.
This new medication will offer a new treatment option to patients which, if approved, could help save lives.
For this initial stage of research we require healthy people who do not have any medical conditions to participate. The data acquired from this healthy participant study will be used to determine whether the medication can be trialed in patients with the condition.
