About the study

This study is looking at developing a treatment medication for obesity management and Type-2 diabetes. This new drug mimics the actions of a hormone called GLP-1 (glucagon-like peptide 1) that is naturally produced in the body. GLP-1 is produced in the intestine and brain and primarily serves to control blood sugar levels, appetite and stomach emptying. The new drug is very similar in structure to normal human GLP-1 and so may have similar effects in your body. Participants in this
study will receive a single dose of this medication and then return to the centre for follow up appointments.
