About the study

We need healthy people for a study investigating a potential new treatment for Alzheimer’s disease. Tricaprilin is a medium chain triglyceride (MCT) or specialised lipid that is a potential treatment for the condition.  It has been shown to be a simple and safe method of inducing ketone body production and therefore providing an alternative source of energy for the brain instead of glucose.

At this stage of testing we are not looking at whether the medication will have any therapeutic value, so we require healthy people with no medical conditions to participate.
