This clinical trial has been approved by an independent ethics committee.

About the study

We need healthy people for a medication study looking at a treatment for Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy – a condition which the heart muscle becomes abnormally thick, making it hard for the heart to pump blood. This condition is one of the most common heritable cardiac disorders and affects up to 1 in 500 people in the general population. This new medication is designed to help with symptoms of shortness of breath and improve exercise capacity in these patients.

At this stage of testing we are not looking at whether the medication will have any therapeutic value, so we require healthy people to participate.
