About the study

This study is looking at a potential treatment for RSV (Respiratory Syncytial Virus) which affects infants (children aged 6 months to 5 years old) and the elderly. RSV causes infection of the lungs and airways. In Adults, RSV often presents with the symptoms of a common cold, although in infants and the elderly, the disease can affect the lungs, heart, or immune system.

Currently there is no vaccine currently available to prevent RSV infection, so it is hoped that this potential treatment may be of use to teat RSV infections in the future.
