About the study

This study is looking into an alternative way of administering a medication that is currently in use and approved to help with the management of Alzheimer’s disease. Alzheimer’s disease is the most common form of dementia that starts slowly and gets worse over time. The most common early symptom of Alzheimer’s disease is difficulty in remembering recent events (short term memory).

The currently approved medication (Donepezil) is used to help support memory and the ability to think more clearly. This medication is currently administered as an oral tablet, whereas this study is looking at delivering this same medication via a patch instead that will be applied to the back.
