About the study

This study is looking at a potential new treatment for seizures in patients with epilepsy. Epilepsy is one of the most common diseases of the central nervous system (CNS). It is characterised by spontaneous, recurrent seizures. This medication is predicted to provide anti-seizure effects but avoid causing side effects that are seen with other anti-seizure drugs.

The medication in this study is provided in capsules, which are about the size of multivitamin tablets. The purpose of this research is to assess how the drug is absorbed in the body (how much of the study drug gets into the blood stream and how long the body takes to clear it).
